Happy New Year! It’s that time of the year again… the time to take up new and exciting hobbies, start impossible exercise routines, and to reflect fondly upon the past year. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always enjoyed a nice bit of sentimental reflection…
It’s been a busy year for us here at dust. Let me explain… last year at this time we were selling in six galleries within a two hour radius of our shop. We’re now closing in on 40, with locations across the United States. We’ve built a lot of furniture, packed a lot of boxes, attended our first wholesale show, had some exciting moments and some disappointing moments, and we could probably write an 800-page book (with illustrations!) about all that we’ve learned in the past year.
All of that said, I can’t easily remember this past year without becoming excited about this new year and all that it will bring our way. Vincent is currently working on four new brilliant furniture designs which we’ll be bringing with us to the Rosen Show in February, as well as a brand new and much improved booth design. We’ll be looking to relocate and expand our shop space within the next year, and possibly getting some more helping hands in the shop. We’ll celebrate dust’s second anniversary as a company in May. Doubtless we’ll learn plenty more about owning a company, and sometimes we’ll be happy about that, and sometimes we’ll have to be gently reminded that we should be happy about that… And who knows what else 2007 holds for us, but it’s full of possibility and promise. And good furniture.

Hello Vince!!!! I am so excited to to see how well everything is going for you. Wow!!! I can’t believe how quickly this took off. I had heard from Derek that you were thinking about doing a mass-production type deal and can’t believe how quickly it actually happened! Your work is as amazing as ever! Wow!!!
So I was actually looking for a jewelry box/cabinet to hang on the wall. I don’t know if other people would be interested in something like that but it is very hard to find a cool looking one that is functional too… Just a thought.
Sean and I got married on June 9th and now live in the NYC area. We both work in Brooklyn and are doing very well. Drop me an email when you have a free minute and let me know how you guys are doing! And if you are ever in the NYC area, let us know!
Love,
Jenny
